I'm going to forgo a Blog on this website.  Instead, I've decided to share my research.  Hopefully, this will make the Ptolemaic/Hellenistic time period more interesting, and will also reveal how little I actually had to make up.  J.K. Rowling had to invent a world of wizarding, using little more that the British boarding school system as a template.  I had a well documented fully blown culture to watch my characters caper about in.
